Company Profile Luman Auto Light Pvt.Ltd. was founded in 1978 by Avtar Singh Sethi, the firm's principal investor, with over 34 years of experience in the automotive industry. Mr. Sethi's passion for the automotive industry includes lighting and electrical components as well as engine induction air filtration systems. Under his leadership by 1990, Luman Auto had become the largest exporter of automotive headlamps and subsequently diversified into the Indian domestic marketplace. Luman Auto Light, manufacturer of Luman brand filters, currently has three manufacturing locations and continues to grow with two new manufacturing locations under construction in tax-free zones of Northern India scheduled to begin production in 2009. The new manufacturing locations will support the needs of OEMs as well as Luman's aftermarket customers. Luman Auto Light is an approved supplier to Ashok Leyland Ltd., Tata Motors Ltd., International Tractors Ltd., JCB Ltd., Vehicle Factory Jabalpur, TAFE Ltd., Bharat Earth Movers Ltd., Greaves Ltd, Brakes India,Swaraz Mazda,Standard Tractors,Sonalika International . In addition, Luman Auto Light produces component parts for defense vehicles used by Indian and other military forces around the world. The company received its ISO-9001:2000 Certification number 5887 in February of 2006 by AQSR and TS-16949 Certification, number CERT-11133-2006-AQ-HOU-IATF from Det Norske Veritas in April of that same year.
